Jansson's tempation
Ingredients
- 900g potatoes
- 2 large sweet onions
- 2 * 50g anchovies in olive oil
- 450ml whipping cream half and half heavy and single cream
Directions
- Preheat oven to 200 C
- Cut potatoes into matchstick strips, put half of them into greased baking dish
- Slice onions into rings and lay half of them on the potatoes
- Lay the anchovies on top of the onion, then add onions and potatoes
- Mix the cream with 30ml of water and pour over the dish
- Cover with foil and cook for 1 hour
- Reduce temperature to 180 C and uncover dish and cook for a further 45 mins
